About Us
We are located in San Diego, California, and have lived here for about twenty years. Our soapmaking business began in 2007, when we made a batch of shea butter soap for fun, and realized that it was much better than any soap we had ever bought! We have since created recipes for other cosmetics, such as lip butter, body butter and lotion, and we are in the process of formulating recipes for shampoos and conditioners. |

We love to make custom items! If you have a special oil that you love in soap or lotion (or even lip balm!) please feel free to contact us and we will formulate something for you. About Our Products Soap: Handmade soap helps to keep your skin looking and feeling great, healthy and moisturized. We are one of the few companies that use a high amount of yogurt in our soap, which has many skin-loving benefits! Benefits of yogurt soap include that it has slightly antibacterial properties and a high concentration of minerals that help keep your skin clear while keeping it moisturized. All of this in a creamy-lathering bar of soap! One more thing we should note- milk and yogurt soaps do not turn to mush in the shower or the soap dish like many other natural soaps- which means you get more use out of one bar. Lotion: Did you know that when your skin is dry or cracked, many times the problem is that it needs water? So why use a thick cream when you can use a light or medium-weight lotion? Many commercial lotions are greasy and heavy, and include petroleum byproducts. (Grab your favorite commercial lotion and see if it includes "mineral oil"- almost all do!) Our lotions are light, non-greasy, and quick to soak into your skin. We use skin-loving oils like shea and cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, aprcot kernel oil, tamanu oil, wheat germ oil, and evening primrose oil- these oils are packed with vitamins and proteins that are good for skin of all ages and types. We also add a generous percentage of extracts and proteins that help your skin stay healthy and hydrated. We've had comments from happy customers saying that their skin keeps a healthy glow through the whole day- even after showering or handwashing. Are you wondering what the difference is between Hydration and Moisturization? We did when we first started making lotions! Check out this article for an explanation and some excellent skin advice! Lip Balm: We were a "grab any 99-cent lip balm because they're all the same" family, once upon a time- but then we made a batch of shea-cocoa-sweet almond lip balm and our whole view changed! Have you ever heard that once you use lip balm, you just need to keep using lip balm? Well, with petroleum-based lip balms, that is true. Many lip products just sit on the skin, trapping the skin's moisture to give the feeling that the lip gloss/balm is healing. Then when you stop using it, your lips will still have the same moisture problems they had before. The solution (well, besides to drink your full 8-12 glasses of water a day, which is a miracle cure for dry lips and pretty much everything else...) is to use a lip balm that does not include ingredients that only give the illusion of moisturization. We do not use petrolatum or mineral oil in our lip balms- instead, we use oils and butters that have plenty of Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins. Once you use a natural lip balm you can't help but shy away from others- after going through a tube of our homemade lip balm, I grabbed a stick of the old "99 cent" lip gloss and had to rub it off after a few minutes! It was then and there that we decided to add lip balms to our product line! We use two main formulas- one for a "lip gloss" shine, and one that is matte, so you can use it under lipstick- or if you're a guy, you can use it without having to worry about the "lip gloss shine". Coming Soon: Bath salts, bath fizzies, cuticle gels, scrubs, and more! We are constantly testing different recipes and formulas to find our favorites and pass them on to you. Check this site and our Etsy shop frequently to see what we've added! We are constantly doing our best to give you the best quality products at a reasonable price.
